Questions we get asked
Money
What do you charge?
Homes pay a diagnostic charge that covers looking at the problem and a written quote for the fix. Approved repair work is hourly after that. Businesses have a two-hour minimum that covers the call-out, diagnosis and up to two hours of work, then an hourly rate. After-hours or rush work adds a flat surcharge. The figures are on the pricing page.
Will you tell me if something is not worth fixing?
Yes. That is what the diagnostic is for. If a repair will cost more than the device is worth, we say so and help you plan the replacement instead.
How do I pay?
You get an invoice on net 30 terms and pay by check, cash, ACH, or card. Larger projects may need a deposit, and we add sales tax where the law requires it.
How it works
Do you have a shop I can walk into?
No storefront. We come to you, fix it remotely, or collect the device and return it when it is done.
How fast will you respond?
New inquiries get a reply within one business day. Managed clients have response targets and support hours set out in their agreement. A response target says when we reply, not when a repair will be finished.
What areas do you cover?
Jefferson City and Cole County, Missouri, and Columbus, Bexley and Franklin County, Ohio. The detail is on the service areas page. Remote support has no boundary.
Can you fix problems remotely?
Many software problems can be handled remotely. You approve each screen-sharing session and watch everything we do on the machine. Hardware problems need hands on the device, so we visit or collect it.
Hardware and data
Do you sell hardware?
Yes: network gear, HP printers and genuine HP toner, and Lenovo computers. It is itemized on the quote and yours to keep. For a personal purchase we will tell you what to buy even when we are not the one selling it.
What happens to my data during a repair?
We access only what the job needs, and we talk about backing up your data before any risky work starts. How we handle personal information is in our privacy policy.
