Why segmentation matters
Most small office network problems aren't hardware problems. They're design problems: access points in the wrong places, no wired connections between them, and every device sitting on one flat network. We fix the design first, then install the right hardware for it.
Segmentation is a security control. When cameras, guest devices, and staff workstations live on separate network segments, a compromised device on one segment can't reach the others, and you can write policy about exactly what crosses between them. That isolation is what a flat network can't give you, and it's the difference an auditor, an insurer, or your next security incident will notice.
For security installers and trades
We regularly work behind security and AV installers as the network subcontractor on their jobs: the cabling, the switching, the VLANs their systems ride on. Your client stays yours. We show up, do the network layer properly, document it, and hand it back.
