Questions we get asked
The honest versions, written down so you don't have to call to find out.
Money
What do you charge?
For residential calls, the $85 diagnostic covers looking at the problem and writing you a quote for the fix. Work you approve is $85 per hour. Business calls have a two-hour minimum, $170. It covers the call-out, diagnosis, and up to two hours of work. Most single-machine problems finish well inside the two hours. Beyond that, $85 per hour. After-hours or rush work adds a flat $85. The full list is on the pricing page.
Will you tell me if something is not worth fixing?
Yes. The diagnostic exists exactly for that call. If a repair will cost more than the device is worth, we say so and help you plan the replacement instead. Charging you hundreds to prop up a dying laptop helps nobody.
How do I pay?
You get an invoice on net 30 terms and pay by check, cash, ACH, or card. Larger projects may need a deposit, and we add sales tax where the law requires it.
How it works
Do you have a shop I can walk into?
No storefront. We come to you, fix it remotely, or collect the device and return it when it's done.
How fast will you respond?
We reply to new inquiries within one business day. Managed and retainer clients get a same-business-day response target during business hours.
What areas do you cover?
Columbus, Bexley, and the surrounding Franklin County suburbs for on-site work. The list is on our service areas page. Remote support has no boundary at all.
Can you fix problems remotely?
Most software problems, yes. We use screen-sharing you approve session by session, and you watch everything we do on the machine. Hardware problems need hands on the device, so we visit or collect it.
Hardware and data
Do you sell hardware?
We source and supply the equipment for the systems we install: network gear, printers, and supplies. For personal purchases we'll tell you what to buy even when we're not the one selling it.
What happens to my data during a repair?
We access only what the job needs, and we talk about backing up your data before any risky work starts. How we handle personal information is written down in our privacy policy, not left to trust.
Question not on the list?
Ask it. You'll get a straight answer within one business day.
