Wired UniFi Protect cameras recording to a recorder in the house, with no subscription to view your own footage. A free site visit first, then a written quote for the cameras, the recorder and the installation.
Recordings on site
We install UniFi Protect, the same system we put in offices. Continuous recordings stay on the recorder in the house, with weeks or months of footage depending on the storage you choose. Remote viewing and notifications use the UniFi app and an account set up in your name. No cloud recording plan and no monthly fee.
What we install
- Indoor and outdoor UniFi cameras, wired rather than battery-powered
- A doorbell camera with local recording
- A UniFi recorder in the house, with storage sized to the coverage
- Motion zones and person detection, so trees in wind are ignored
- Runs on your home network. See home WiFi and networking if that needs work first
- Equipment supplied by us, itemized on the quote and yours to keep
Sensors
Door and window sensors, motion and environmental sensors, tied into the lighting and audio system if you have one. See lighting, shading and audio.
No monitoring service
We don't offer central monitoring or alarm-to-dispatch. The system is for watching your own property from your phone. If you need a monitored alarm as well, we'll point you to a local alarm company.
Recent work
On the last whole-home install the camera recorded to a UniFi recorder on the same rack as the access points, with the layout written up before we left.
Pricing
A free site visit first, then a written quote for the cameras, the recorder and the installation, whether it is four cameras on the doors or the whole property. Nothing is ordered until you approve it. Rates are on the pricing page.
